Lake Las Vegas Triathlon & Private Bloggers

First, several of you have gone private. I would love to view your blogs still, if you want to send an invite, my email is meganosummers@yahoo.com. Secondly, I just did the Irongirl triathlon at Lake Las Vegas...and lived to tell about it! So of course, I need to do a post. It was soo much fun, despite being one of the hardest things I have ever done. The Triathlon included an 800 meter swim (in the lake), 18.2 mile bike ride, followed by a 3.1 mile run. The area was beautiful and I am excited to do it again!

The family came to cheer me on. Clint is the best...such a support. Not the easiest to bring two little ones to an event like this. But it meant a lot to me!

Relief after the event!!

The sad thing in this whole event is that I accidentally stole someone's "culligan" hat. My friend let me borrow a hat, which I thought I grabbed in transition. No, it was some poor sole's who had to go without during the run. I didn't even notice my mistake until we were home. Maybe next year I can return it!

My Baby is Four!

Can't believe my little McKenna is actually four years old. She is starting to sound sooo big, I'm not really ready for this. But she tells me she does not want to stay three, so ready or not, she is growing up!

Grandma Cassie made McKenna a beautiful princess dress for her birthday

Addie is such a funny girl. McKenna, in typical little kid fashion, was unimpressed with the clothes she got. Addie, on the other hand tried everything on!

Tried to get a pic of the girls in Sunday dress on McKenna's actual birthday, no luck!

The best pic of the birthday cake, and birthday gang.

The Clark County Fair

They loved all the rides. Addie usually had her mouth open the whole round.

McKenna was the perfect big sis. She has really taken to protecting Addie and holding her hand wherever we go. A big difference from the first six months of Addie's life.

Addie absolutely loves animals. She was literally in hog heaven! Pun intended!! I couldn't say what animal this was, but Addie was loving every second of it.

Addie crashed on Nanna in exactly this position!

And McKenna crashed on the way home. It was a super fun day!!

A Trip to Idaho

McKenna, Addie, and I took a quick trip to Idaho. Clint had inventory, and my parents have had some health issues sooo the timing was perfect

We started out at Grandpa Craig and Grandma Cassie's house

Then made our way to Grandma and Grandpa Olson's. McKenna was sooo excited to play in the snow and make a snowman. I think everyone but McKenna ended up making a snowman.

Both the girls loved the snow. But being Vegas chicks we usually only lasted about ten-fifteen minutes tops.

Once again I can't figure out how to fix my post. Please disregard the funking link in the middle of this post!!

Addie's 1st ponytail!

I tried...we're not quite there yet!

I went to check on McKenna before I went to bed and of course took the book out of her hands. But she must have really been into the book 'cause she maintained that pose for a good 15 minutes, while I tracked down the camera to take her picture.

December Fun

McKenna and Addie on Christmas morning!

Addie thought it was hilarious to wear this Santa hat and run into things. She really could not see, but just laughed and laughed when she hit something.

Addie after we went to see Santa!

Uncle Ian, sent this bib to Addie, I couldn't get her to cooperate to get a good view of the writing, "My mom is hotter than your mom!" Thanks Ian!!

Haircut

I was in the kitchen yesterday, when McKenna came in and said, "I'm sorry Momma. I am sooo sorry." Any kid that starts the conversation that way knows they have done something they shouldn't have. Sure enough McKenna butched her bangs. I don't think it is possible to hide this one. I can't blend the cut with the rest of her hair because it is front and center. Surprisingly enoough I was not even mad, in fact I was trying not to laugh...I didn't want her to think it was okay. Only a three year old knows they are beautiful no matter what they look like. Gotta love McKenna!
