Haircut

I was in the kitchen yesterday, when McKenna came in and said, "I'm sorry Momma. I am sooo sorry." Any kid that starts the conversation that way knows they have done something they shouldn't have. Sure enough McKenna butched her bangs. I don't think it is possible to hide this one. I can't blend the cut with the rest of her hair because it is front and center. Surprisingly enoough I was not even mad, in fact I was trying not to laugh...I didn't want her to think it was okay. Only a three year old knows they are beautiful no matter what they look like. Gotta love McKenna!

Halloween Witches

McKenna and Addie were both witches. Addie refuses to wear anything on her head though, sooo you can't really tell. Luckily, I got a pic with her bow before she ripped that out too!

I think Addie has less hair now than when she was born! But we love her and just keep glueing bows to her head.






A little bedtime snack. I am a succor for matching the girls...even at bedtime! But I know they wont let me do it forever, so my motto is to take advantage while I can!

Pre-School & Homemade Bread

I am too lazy to save this picture on my computer and crop it sooo yes it's sideways! Anyway, McKenna started pre-school, I couldn't get her to keep a straight face! Stinker. But she loves school and so do I!


I've wanted to make homemade bread for some time. I have all this wheat, and don't want it to go to waste. Luckily, I have a fabulous friend who happens to be a wheat guru...and she owns an electric wheat grinder! It turned out great, so I might just have to invest in my own grinder!!

Addie turns 1

Hard to believe she is one!! Here are a few of the highlights in no particular order. The grandparents made sure McKenna wasn't left out either. Thankyou Grandma Cassie for coming and spending a wk. with us!

Poor Addie

This past Saturday we were at the park with my sister Merin. Addie went down the slide on my lap but stuck her foot out. It caught on the side of the slide catching our weight. She wasn't settling down so we all went back to the house. Long story short we observed her over the wk. end. She wasn't the happiest, but neither did I have any idea that she had actually fractured two bones. Monday morning I took her to the pediatrician...then to get an x-ray...then to an orthopedic doctor, who wrapped her little leg! Poor Addie. She is such a trooper!! On top of it all someone got into our car sometime Sunday night. Luckily all that was taken was change from the ash tray, my sunglasses, and our gate clicker!!

McKenna's 3rd Birthday was in April. She wanted a purple lady bug cake. I actually made 4 little bug cakes and she liked the spider best, sooo that is the cake we used for candles.

Life is Good

I finally decided today would be the day to update, but I now cannot find the cord to my camera to download pics. Ce la vie!! I guess if you truely love me you'll read about the update instead of view!! jk. I won't be offended, I don't always read everything.

Life is good in the Summers household. McKenna turned 3 in April and keeps us laughing. She is great with her imagination. Instead of a make-believe friend she named her hands Nee Nee & Bagake. She rocks them with blankets, sings to them, and even puts them in time out. Never a dull moment!

Addie, has grown up entirely too fast. She scoots everywhere and wants to walk, but really has nothing to do with crawling! I love that she is so excited now and recognizes things. When I come to get her in the morning she kicks and squeals, makes my heart melt.

Life is good!!

McKenna got into some serious trouble and wouldn't stop screaming. I was afraid she would wake up Addie sooo out of desperatin I stuck her in the pack and play in my bedroom. She figured out how to get underneath the pad and was playing contently until she realized I was watching her. Then came the tears.
