3 Posts in July!!!

I have reached a new record...three posts in one month. I attribute this particular one to insomnia. I have reached that point in the pregnancy when I might as well be up with a baby because I am up anyway!! Here are just some fun pics from the past wk.

Popsicles are COLD!!

Can't go anywhere with out puppy or Elmo!

McKenna finally found someone her size to play in her little house!

First Camping Trip!!!

We finally went camping with McKenna up at Mt. Charleston. She absolutely loved it, and we all had a great time...for the most part...I dont think I will go again when 7 1/2 months pregnant. Although it was a nice break from the heat!
First thing in the morning!

Not sure how to use the butterfly net...yet!

Just for fun, Mckenna's potty training is going really well, she really likes the Big Girl Dora pants...and can't seem to get enough of them!

Clint's B-Day & The 4th/Idaho Trip

My hubby is the absolute best. I didn't post anything on his birthday (my current average is one entry per month) but I want to let all the bloggers know how much I love and appreciate him. Clint is persistent, loving, and maintains a good sense of humor all qualities that have kept our marriage healthy. He definately makes me want to be a better wife, mother, and person. I just don't know what I would do without him. Thats why I married a younger guy...insurance that I won't die first and be lonely! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!!

Daddy the Handyman!!

Clint has proven quite the handyman throughout our marriage! And now Mckenna is reaping the benefits. Monday night he spent about two hours making this little house out of old cardboard boxes. Need I say that Mckenna absolutely loves it!

Potty Training!!!

We have finally bit the bullet and are getting serious about potty training Mckenna. Two kids in diapers isen't an appealing prospect right now. I think more soo for Clint. He has a little more aggresive approach than I do. We had decided to get serious last Saturday. I went to Sams club, came home and Mckenna greets me from the upstairs balcony. "I poo-poo Mommy! I poo-poo"! No sign of Clint. No, he was in the bathroom scrubbing poop out of Mckenna's third pair of underpants. And unfortunatley it was not the last pair of the evening. I know there has to be a transition from pull-up to panties, but shouldn't we use the pull-up before the transition!!!! On behalf of Clint, not many husbands take such a hands on roll and I appreciate him sooo much!

HAWAII & MCKENNA'S 2ND B-DAY

Okay slacker that I am...I now have to combine two major events into one post...because I want you to see both!! We finally made it to the big island of Hawaii. I was never a "You have to go to Hawaii person" but I have converted! YOU HAVE TO GO TO HAWAII!! Lucky for us Clints sister, Jill and fam, live there...so we bunked with them and had a ball. Thankyou Jill for being our tour guide, car rental, babysitter, and everything in between....And my baby girl just turned two. I cannot believe it. We got her a kitchen and that is it...because she gets spoiled by everyone else we didnt have to get her much and she still got a lot... especially hugs and kisses. She is an independent spirit and wants to do everything herself, which can be exasperating at times, but I know will be a great strength to her in the future if I can give her a good foundation! It is the best when she calls me "Mommy" or says "I love you" out of the blue. Being a mom is the hardest but the best thing I have ever done!

Boy? Girl?

Can you tell what the next baby Summers will be??

We couldn't without a little help either. It is...

I guess I do not have women's intuition...this makes for my second unsuccesful guess at gender. When the ultrasound lady told me it was a girl all I could say was "really." She thought I was disappointed, but actually I was just shocked. This pregnancy is soooo different from McKenna's I was sure it would be a boy, but we are really excited to welcome another girl into our family...especially Clint!!! Now he will really be outnumbered! Go Girl Power!!
